It was the 18th hole and I'd been duffing all day, not connecting with the ball the way I knew I could. So I come to this huge end of the course green and although my ball's on it, it's still way off about 30 feet or so from the pin. As I approached to make my putt, I noticed a putter lying in the deep at the edge of the green, a few feet from my ball. So I picked up the found putter, used it and placed my ball cleanly into the cup. 'Twas a great putt--and then it didn't matter how lousy I had shot that day through. Hey, I got the one that counted most--I tweaked fate!

So I turned in the found putter to the club house, and I've been thinking about that putt ever since--lol!
