Watching the market today made me think of May 5, 2010. That day the market bounced around in a relatively narrow range at recent support. The next day it fell through support and we got the flash crash of May 6, 2010. Besides being a 13 year anniversary or as close as we can get with May 6 being Saturday, there are a couple other notable similarities - the range in the days prior to the flash crash and the more recent range was about 5% with 3 peaks within the range.
