Enjoy the read, cowgirl -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday September 27, 12:48 am Eastern Time Silicon Storage says to beat Q3 estimates SUNNYVALE, California, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Memory chip maker Silicon Storage Technology Inc (NasdaqNM:SSTI - news) said on Tuesday its third quarter earnings would beat Wall Street expectations, citing yield improvements and better production from its foundry partners. The company expects to report third quarter earnings greater than 35 cents a share on revenue greater than $150 million, compared with 2 cents a share on revenues of $35.1 million in the year earlier period. The Wall Street consensus estimate was 28 cents a share, as compiled by First Call/Thomson Financial. ``In the third quarter, the company experienced better-than-expected yield improvements and production ramp at certain foundry partners of several new products, which carry improved gross margins,'' said chief executive Bing Yeh in a statement. Shares closed at $26-1/64 in Tuesday's Nasdaq trading, down $35/64 from the previous close. Shares reached a 52-week high of $38-7/8 and a 52-week low of $4-7/16.
