<<Bill Gates has already won the O/S war.>>

So many people on here are acting as though Steve Jobs and Larry Ellison have just returned from a far off planet after a 20-year vacation. Ellison, who unlike Jobs *does* care about the money to be made in this industry, didn't create a personal fortune of $6 billion by underestimating his competition. To continue with your war metaphor, Jobs is (and always has been) waging a holy war here. Look what he did with Woz back in the garage, look at what his Pixar Studios brought to the big screen for the first time in history (Toy Story)...this guy is taking the battlefield in the name of PRINCIPLE. This war is far from over...stick around. I do agree that Gates has done one hell of a job in winning most of the important battles up to this point, but he is an aging general, and I dare say his ability as a visionary is waning. Yeah, I said it.

Again, cheers to all.
