I agree, it was a bad idea when the Black lives matter kids confronted Bernie and I agree what Cortez did is not a good tactic, but they are not the ones in control of the Democratic party.
We actually are a leftist country , according to polls, people just don't realize it. Most people are in favor of universal health care, affordable education and a minimum wage of $15.
It is not lefty's leading the women, kids and minorities, it is women , kids and minorities leading to the left. They policies will be set by those people and they are policies we need to fight for.
Take a good look at the list I provided of the 90 Congressional Progressive Caucus members, half the dems in the house, most of the minority folks in the house are in it, including John Lewis, Elijah Cummings and Sheila Jackson and 20 of the new dems joined it.
These are hardly irresponsible people or too far left. They comprise the best and brightest.
And for certain the CPC is nothing like the Freedom Caucus.
The entire country moved left by 10 points. Not ONE state moved right and Texas moved left by 32 points. The left is the future.
And as I keep trying to explain the left is simply trying to implement modern sociological programs that already exist in most western democracies.

The fucking point is they won't get what they want and if they stomp their feet and bolt to the left while crying and screaming at fellow dems they'll fuck us all. The US is a moderate to center right country- NOT a leftist paradise. While you might wish it were a leftist paradise, it's not- we've got way too many people who don't buy off on radical agendas. And if the new crop of leftists can't play well with others- then they will help re-elect Scrotus. And that won't be very bright, now will it?
Yes- people are mad at Trump- best gift to the dems we had this election. But the people can and will be mad at Dems if they try to run too far left. |
