I really think we Democrats can win in 2020 with whomever we run. By then Trump and or Pence will have left the Republican party a smoldering heap of political ruin..

So I am of the opinion we Democrats need to go with our best and brightest. I was watching Yuval Noah Harari last night , maybe the most intelligent person on the planet today, warn about the future and especially the human singularity (AI) fast approaching.

He feels, as do I, that we need to be prepared for this addition of the intelligence we created. It could be very dangerous and it will take people of great intelligence to deal with it.

Add to this nuclear proliferation, global warming, worldwide over population, cyber wars, rising fascism, income inequality , plutocratic hegemony and worldwide pollution, etc, our problems are profound and imminent. So we need to risk that the people can understand the importance of electing the best we have and realize we can never elect another venal fool like Trump.

And so last night I thought, we are, all of us, still too myopic with regard to our thinking about who we should run for president. We need to look at all our Democratic candidates and ask:" who are the two smartest, decent, toughest and sanest of them all. I came up with two names: Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. Run them together.

The best and brightest, the FDR's of the group, and we must elect an FDR, a transformational president, IMO, would be a ticket of Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. Why not two women, we have been running two men forever :)>!

I saw they were working together to campaign for Katie Porter the UC Irving law professor and consumer advocate who defeated Young Kim in Orange County. That is when that idea came to me.

I think enough folks who voted for Trump have been chastened by his behavior and learned their lesson and will not do it again, but instead vote for quality.
