It's worth whatever the gov't says it's worth. How many idiots running around with debit cards know how much they really have in the bank? That's why banks are making a killing off fees. Do you know the balance on your credit card today? Soon all your assets will be tied to one chip with "your" number. But you can trust Uncle. he'll keep you and your assets safe. Just like 911, folks lined up to willingly give up massive freedoms in the US because of "fear"...so it shall be as the economy continues to deteriorate. Soon Americans will willingly give up worthless cash in order to have the gov't "protect" their assets via chip.
