Waldy -

Thanks but I don't think I had anything to do with this - if anything, we need to give some kudos to Chris Stone et al for getting on with the Linux thing. The announcement to ADD Linux is good enough for some attention - it will be the execution of that strategy that will ultimately get Novell's stock price into the kind of territory we'd all like to see.

If you ask me, I think that and the "good" earnings report are making a difference right now. The $7 per share price point will come with some execution on the first stage of Novell's Linux strategy (a few big name wins with the upcoming Novell Services for Linux will do I think).

After that, it will be how the (Linux) developers take to Novell's involvement and how well Novell works with the open-source community. Also as a footnote, the SCO thing and Novell's position with the copyrights on the UNIX code can also affect Novell but not adversely IMO - only because if SCO is right, then the code really belongs to Novell :) and if they are found to be wrong, well, Novell still has the code that can help :)

But honestly, thanks for the vote of confidence :) And save a Cuban for me!

Regards,
Peter J Strifas
