I don't think what's going on is a short-seller conspiracy. I think investors aren't willing to pay the same multiple any more for any stock, real (Sun) or imagined (dotcoms). Sun has had no change in fundamentals, but the market wants to bring down its multiple anyway. Rumors, mealy-mouthed pseudo-downgrades and other baseless negative buzz is the means. It's just the way it is right now.

I don't see a way out of it myself except more blowouts, and that can't go on forever.

The good news, if you can call it that, about this odd drop is that when the market prices in fake bad news it lessens the potential impact of any real bad news that might happen (but hopefully won't).
