I'm guessing it's 5% of the electorate (people who would vote Dem but won't vote for a black guy).

I'm guessing a minimum of 20% (a lot to overcome). You live in the Northeast, I live in the semi-South (FL). So our general regional experience may be the difference in our estimate.

Still, you look at recent elections and a few percentage points determine the winner. I'm convinced it's an uphill battle... as I was with the primaries.
