you know it really is funny when those with a socially conservative bent start talking about money.

You do realize that on a per capita basis the coastal areas of the country, which tend to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal, have much higher income levels than the rest of the country do you not? The CEO of the pacific stock exchange was protesting this war a few weeks ago... his rationale was that the risk/reward was not favorable.
