ISDN Consultant Released from RADCOM
Powerful Signalling Analysis and Reporting Tool Summarizes All Information in the D-Channel
MAHWAH, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1999-- RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCMF - news), announced the release of the ISDN Consultant, a powerful software tool that provides high-level analysis of the ISDN call signalling mechanism. By displaying analyses, summary reports and statistics in tabular and graphical formats, the ISDN Consultant helps installers and network managers easily view and understand the activity on any ISDN BRI or PRI line.
''As ISDN becomes more prominent in networking configurations worldwide, the need for appropriate testing tools is expanding. The ISDN Consultant provides networking professionals with a powerful tool to determine that their ISDN installations are working correctly.'' explains Ofir Michael, Product Manager at RADCOM.
Faster and easier analysis of ISDN signalling
Call management and signaling, on all ISDN network is performed using the D channel. Many ISDN testing and maintenance scenarios require monitoring D channel activity to determine what is happening on all B channels. Analyzing this information is problematic for users because signalling messages are scattered, hard to correlate and ambiguous. The common decodes of the B channel provided by all analyzers today, are simply not good enough.
By learning, analyzing, summarizing, and displaying line usage, billing information, performance parameters and protocol errors regarding ISDN circuits, the ISDN Consultant meets important testing requirements for ISDN users. It can display information by connection, by time or by various other parameters. The ISDN Consultant's built-in presentation quality graphical engine, report generator and flexible filtering mechanism assist ISDN professionals to troubleshoot and document the activity on the line more quickly and easily.
''This expert analysis software joins RADCOM's other analysis applications (e.g., ATM Consultant, LAN Pro) to provide comprehensive testing solutions for its customers,'' concluded Michael.
The ISDN consultant is available immediately and runs independently or in conjunction with RADCOM's WAN/LAN or WAN/LAN/ATM protocol analyzers.
