Linda, you're certainly not alone in thinking that. In a recent interview, Flip was asked about the competition and if they "get it". I don't remember the exact quote, but Flip made it sound like that initially wetherell fell over backwards into the Internet pot o' gold, though since then, truly understands it. It sounded like a backhanded compliment to me. Does anyone know if this was the RH article or another one? It's just a little friendly competitive spirit at work.

Right on, Edwin. Yeah, Son generally takes 20-30% stateside (like my employer) and seems hesitant to take a seat on the board of directors. He uses his networking contacts to make things happen but doesn't want to micromanage companies that are already well-managed.

Speaking of cement shoes, the entire Secretary of State Office in Illinois is going down in flames from the bribe-for-driver-license scandal. Governor George Ryan's wife has been circumstantially implicated in the matter. Daley has a handle on things, Ryan is a lame duck on fire. Too bad we have a governor that doesn't get the new economy, unlike nearby Pennsylvania's Gov. Tom Ridge. It's time for new blood. Too bad one of DVIN's entrepreneurs-in-residence can't run.

I was REALLY surprised by this news. The the Feb. RED HERRING I got the feeling ol' Flip was taking shots at
CMGI. Now, I find out they are partners. Those two doing business together is a wonderful and scary proposition.
