American Mobile Unveils Voice Mail (via Comverse system) News from Dow Jones (at 17:46 EDT, 06-25-96) Reston, VA.: American Mobile Satellite Corp. (SKYC) unveiled voice mail for its Skycell telephone service. In a press release, the company said the voice mail service allows messages to be retrieved from a satellite or touch-tone telephone. The company said it is offering its voice mail service using Comverse Technology Inc.'s (CMVT) Trilogue Infinity platform. Comverse Technology, based in Woodbury, N.Y., makes computer and telecom systems. American Mobile Satellite provides mobile communications including telephone, digital broadcast dispatch, data and positioning reporting services.
