The media is biased because they are asked to due so... A simple example is the GOP website. It appears to be a Kerry bashing site, rather than a Republican praise site. Kerry's mug is everywhere, and there is definitely a strong anti-Kerry bias within the foundation pages of GOP.com. Much of the Kerry bashing is sourced from Republican diatribes published right there on the GOP website. If you are a writer with a deadline, might as well take what has already been written, or fluff a story handed to you, rather than write an independent, and fully reflective story, full of ones own thoughts. Yes, the media is biased, and inevitably, it is up to us readers to determine what is real and truthful.
