That may very well be true.

But remember, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

If global warming causes climate change so drastic that food production becomes possible where it has not been possible for millennia, what effect is that going to have on all the regions where we're currently growing crops? Will "new" production in these previously inhospitable regions be enough to offset the disruption to our current food producing regions? Without fossil fuel derived fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, current food production levels would literally collapse. Given the impending peak and permanent decline of fossil fuel availability, have you factored this into the equation?

I am very cautious about focusing too much on the global warming phenomenon, because even though it is a very serious and real issue, the imminent peak in global oil production will have much graver and immediate ramifications. I posted the global warming articles because I thought they were alarming and I felt they would supplement the discussion on this board, and I take full responsibility if I confused my original intent.
