Doesn't this sound like nothing more than BS PR to counter a perception that they are attempting to control the educational software sector with their lawsuits against folks like Desire2Learn. Since when does this company see value in giving anything away? Wasn't a chunk of their original (ie pre WebCT) system based upon open source code? Since when does competing through lawsuit lead to sustainable value offerings?
