Standard-Times piles on. Saturday's addition has a story claiming that a BSFE VP who resigned in 1995 has filed suit in federal court claiming the BSFE reneged on a valid stock option agreement. Most of the verbal assurance he cites were from Richard Rosen, the founder who was forced out by the Board last March.

Meanwhile the statement we were told to expect from the company responding to Rosen's sworn assertions about the adequacy of the odor abatement procedures adopted for Fairhaven was not released.

I feel (a little) for the BSFE officials and lawyers. This is all quite delicate. They are suing Rosen for $1.8mm they claim he owes them for in approriate expenditures while he was head of the company. (You can find that in the recent 10-q). The articles haven't mentioned that and treat Rosen as an unimpeachable source. Whether its worth anything to the company to bring up these charges publically, I don't know.

If only we'd get the Vermont permit and get about the business of landfill remodelling, somebody other than lawyers might start making some money.
