Stephen,

"When it comes to GOD there is no such thing as luck".

I wasn't going to respond, but that comment needed a response. There are many, many instances of patients dying, or operations failing, after much prayer by themselves and their families and friends and their doctors.

In fact, just recently a church, filled with followers deep in prayer, was destroyed by a tornado with loss of life.

So, either God is selective about "who's" prayers get answered, or God flips a coin, which would provide the "luck" factor, or God has an unusual sense of humor.

Obviously, you have an inside track to a God. Why not be magnanimous and ask your God to help someone else's suffering patients? That way they might even be able to get better without medical care!
