Relentless, on trading foreign stocks:

Based on my experience only, talk to a financial advisor:

1.) Use full commission brokers (I use one in Canada to buy overseas stocks). Confirm the commission rate (and any other costs) prior to trading.

2.) When you buy overseas you are at foreign exchange risk (and foreign regulation risk), so that profits may not be what you expect when you sell.

3.) Check the exchange rules off the net. Many foreign exchanges have english language net pages.

4.) Better suggestion since you are a relatively new investor: Don't do it. You can buy many foreign stocks on US exchanges, in US dollars. Finally, trading domestically also offers access to quick trading, while oversease takes longer.

Hope this helps, good luck.
