I am also watching VIAS. It is hard to understand why the stock went up so much considering that its revenue and net income all went down from 6/30/96 quarter to 9/30/96 quarter. I feel this stock has some similiar characteristics as IOMG earlier this year. There had been a lot of talk of blow-out earnings and the stock shoot up to the sky, then it crashed down after people realize they were too optimistic and fooled by some analyst. It may go up again in the short term, it definitely will go down in the next 6 months. The 2KY problem is overblown in my opinion, and many other computer consulting companies, including IBM will get into this business, and it is easy to get into. All you need are some good programmer, no entry barrier. It went up quickly this past Monday, mainly due to short covering.
