Since the total number of answers received was 54, there must be four Liars in the group of fifty, each naming the two villages in which he or she did not live in instead of the one which he or she lived in. The total number of Truthtellers was therefore 46.
46 * (1 answer) + 4 * (two answers) = 54 answers.
