US video sales hit all time high in January............... twice.com DVD sales picked up in January where they left off in December, producing a 268.9% increase for the month to 125,500. While DVD player sales don't have a long enough history to produce a reliable selling pattern, using VCR deck seasonal sales as an estimate indicates players sold at a strong 2.3 million annual rate during the month, which is better than double last year's actual sales.
