Small Business and the 24x7 LAN

September 15, 2010 | Emerson

Data centers, with their mega-watt loads, hundreds of racks, high-density compute applications, Chunnel-sized networks, and 100X Library of Congress storage requirements tend to get a lot of media, analyst, and consultant coverage. But studies have shown that approximately two-thirds of all ITC (information technology & communications) power is consumed outside the data center.
