There is huge disparity in the public school system here. Our kids are lucky enough to go to one of the best set of schools in the state. But there is a huge gap between the best and the worst schools.

And California ranks 44th in per capita spending on education; shameful for a state as wealthy as it is.

It is often cited as one of the major problems by Californians...
