Well, there's one sure way to find out. Restore away!

Just kidding. Don't. I did the same thing as you, caught Blast, and went through and deleted every MSBlast file findable. A good friend who'd been down the Blast road before helped me out, but we both forgot about System Restore.

Sure enough, Avast found MSBlast in the Restore system. The solution: Go to Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > System Restore and Turn Off System Restore on All Drives. Reboot and go back into Control Panel and make sure System Restore is Turned On. When you turn off System Restore for even an instant all earlier Restore Points are deleted.

After I did that Avast stopped alerting me. Hope this helps.
