Scios Commences Public Offering of 5,000,000 Shares of Common Stock SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Scios Inc. (Nasdaq: SCIO - news) announced today that it is commencing a public offering of 5,000,000 shares of its common stock. The managing underwriters for the offering will be JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers and SG Cowen Securities Corporation. The underwriters have the option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares to cover over-allotments, if any.
