You are probably right. One of the nicest things about this thread is that there seems to be a body of kindred spirits, not always friendly to one another, but who are willing, for the most part to help one another with questions that arise. By the bue, did you make a decision about the faster modem. My son just purchased DirectPC and is exceptionally happy with the increase in speed he has achieved, especially for the Internet. He is downloading at 50K/sec, which is somewhat less than half of what you can do with the cable modem.
