Warning!
If you view the following things taking place:
1. The clergy successfully preaching the doctrines of patience and pussillanimity -- don't work, forget competition and ambition, don't rebel, turn the other cheek,..
2. the active virtues of society being discouraged -- family values declining, divorce on rise, drug use, tune in turn on drop out ... etc
3. the last remains of military spirit being buried in a cloister Think Vienam War, get out of Iraq, etc..
4. a large portion of public and private wealth being consecrated to the specious demands of charity and devotion (Oral Roberts, United Appeal, Sun Yung Moon, World Vision, Cults etc..)
5. soldier's pay being lavished on the useless multitudes of both sexes who could only plead the merits of abstinence and chastity. (think channeling gov't funds from military/defense/infrastructure to fund welfare and unemployment, mother's allowance et al 'pleading the merits etc .. ' means they should never have been born ...)
