Dear Paul: I just want to highlite a little from your reference:In fact, Sun's long-delayed UltraSPARC III processor is just starting to hit the market, and a full rollout of servers using the new chips isn't expected until next year. For the time being, ``We're delivering products that are substantially better on price and performance,'' says Tim Dougherty, director of e-business marketing at IBM.

Sun officials declined to comment on fourth-quarter performance because the company is in its quiet period. But Shahin Khan, vice president of product marketing, issued a sharp rebuttal to IBM's claims of superiority.

``I think we're in a tremendous position and IBM is playing catch-up,'' he said. ``Our servers are the best on the market, and when you add our storage and software, that's really what customers are latching onto in a big way.''

OK, lets PRESUME IBM is right, if that is so then as the USPIII comes into its own growth IMHO would only IMPROVE. Lets PRESUME IBM is exaggerating (they surely wouldnt do that would they? (gg)) then the growth is ALREADY THERE for SUNW. SO I ASK YOU---WHATS THE BEEF?
As to the numbers IBM is throwing around, Charles has convinced me---I DEMAND A RECOUNT!! haha. JDN
