The whole industry category is weak. My suspicion is that concerns about decreases in average selling prices are weighing on these stocks.

However, I think that major corporations have made strategic decisions to get out of manufacturing, whereas a year or two ago they were "just thinking about it". This bodes extremely well for the long term, in my opinion - when all of these major ECM's are likely to be $10 billion sales companies serving a portfolio of major electronics companies. Note that when the major companies like IBM, HWP, etc. obtain an advantage from getting out of mfg, that somewhat
"forces" their competition to do likewise.

I am of the view that I can't predict where the bottom will be, nor will I try. If these leaders can be triple in a few years, I intend to just buy equal amounts every 5 points down, and not watch the tape on a minute to minute basis.
