This debka analysis confirms what i heard from John Loftus last night. Its an alliance of trouble makers we face in iran. We need to involve sistani and more rational sunnis in the triangle in this fight. I think we have to accept an iraqi form of federalism and islamic state that sistani has in mind. Can there be an islamic federal state with a secular shiaa president who has the backing of sunni arabs and kurds? This is what we should be working toward and the council we created may not be the best place to begin. Direct talks with sistanis folks might be a better way to get assurances for the sunni arabs. Perhaps a shiaa president and sunni and kurd veeps? Perhaps a rotating leadership including all three groups? Who knows but iraqis will have to construct this more or less themselves while permitting(encouraging) the US to go after the foreigners, the baathists and the shiaa and wahabi terrorists in their midst. Sistani is the key to all of this, isnt he? mike
