Rod, first let me tell you that I agree with you on MCAF. Second, I was just reflecting on Symantec presence in a typical office. In my office workers have Symantec products on their Dells and they don't have any use for them. The only product that makes sense for an average user is antivirus. I am saying that people know conceptually what this thing is doing. Where with Utilities, Windows already have a defrag, Windows will make a rescue disk for you, etc. What else would an average user want?

Besides we are in environment where software "suppose" to be free. So I am struggling to understand how Symantec can grow it's profits without a compelling application. MCAF just went up on a media paranoia about Internet that promotes viruses (and child porn). Hope they will have some similar campaign about lack of utilities or something...
