The end of American oil supply will probably not come any time in the 21st century. As oil becomes rarer it becomes more expensive which will drive down use. Also the hardest to get at American oil (whether its hard to physically access, hard to process like very heavy crude, or oil shale and sands, or hard to get to for political and legal reasons like ANWR or in certain coastal areas) may be left for some time.
