You are absolutely right that earnings or lack thereof mean nothing to this stock's price. The runup in the morning will probably be a short squeeze. The runup before earnings was obviously Intel related. There was no conviction in that story today, and if anybody were trying to buy this stock in anticipation of good results in the earnings report, they sure weren't very convincing. There was no "in the know" buying. So the perception of the traders will have to be to short and or sell long positions. MU was against the market today, and after a few shorts are shaken out tomorrow and maybe the next day, we'll have a slow slide in which shorting on runups will be my strategy. Of course that's all JMO and subject to change on a dime.
