No question JDSU will beat earnings this quarter. Kevin Kalkhoven has repeatedly said that he is comfortable with the estimates (the glow in his eyes and the confidence in his tone of voice, suggest to me that JDSU will exceed estimates). Plus, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter talked recently with JDSU's CFO who advised the analyst that JDSU is going to have an excellent quarter (annualized revenue of over $1 billion). Has anyone started a list of earnings dates for other companies in the sector? Last quarter, JDSU was one of the last to report. After blowout earnings by others, good earnings from JDSU was a slam dunk.
