Generic question to the thread about screensavers:

In looking for a particular screensaver I like (to install in my new Dell!), I came upon some software recommended for managing your screensavers. It mentioned, as though everyone knew it, that screensavers "trashed" your hard drive.

Is that true?

Should one therefore really install a screensaver and theme manager?

I'm going to install EndItAll in this computer, too, unless there's something better now, for that purpose, in the opinion of the thread.
