Richard, more on Bastyr U. It is a training ground for ND's (Naturopathic Doctors). Research there is headed by two people: Carlo Calabrese, MPH, and Leanne Standish, Ph.D. Both are also NDs. I did not know about Standish when I wrote my first note on this University. See the following Web site for more details: bastyr.edu Please realize that the NIH funding to which they refer is exclusively from the new Division of Alternative Medicine, and that many, but not all, of the studies going on there on AIDS are an attempt to prove the benefits of homeopathy (minute dosages) in HIV/AIDS--controversial stuff. But, we really ought to have the results of the 90 day phase 1 study on PN 355 that started in March. Someone please call the company and ask when these results will be forthcoming! For a long article about Leanne Standish see the periodical "Alternative Therapies" (in Health and Medicine), Sept., 1966 Vol. 2 #5, pages 80 - 89.
