I did a little checking, there would appear to be no relationship between QWST and TERN. The author may be referring to broadband in general. In which case QWST, TERN, BRCM and many other players are up.

I had not heard of TERN before but at first glance I'm rather impressed. There is a thread on SI but only about 116 posts. No comments today and the stock gapped up by 17% or so but has pulled back a little. It is a company that I can see myself putting some money into as part of my broadband/teleco subset.

Interesting article from Forbes

Also check the company web site and the news/story links along the left side. A lot of competition but a lot of opportunity. The company doesn't seem to have major orders with any U.S. Cable firms yet. If that happens it would mean a lot to a smaller player like this. Stock has gone from $7 to $60 now down to $38. They went public in Aug 98.
