Interesting to see that most apolitical of writers, VN, mentioned in a political vein. The ladies should have started with Speak, Memory; Laughter In The Dark; and Pnin before tackling Lolita. Especially Laughter In The Dark for a good read on how young women can be the ruin of older gentlemen. His warmup for Lolita.
