Glenn, in re >Lots of theories and maybe many with merit but the varying opinions only indicates a chance of high volitility.< Did I miss something? Is someone going long early next week? For the record, I'm staying OUT of this market, as I see the DJIA going to 7400ish before turning back up. This is simply approx 10% correction. It could certainly go lower though. I expect we will have hit this area by sometime on Thursday, Aug 21st. Being in cash, I haven't put much time into making this prediction, as I have zero money riding on it. So it's just "point and shoot", FWIW type of estimate. It is simply based on the fact that Thurs is the Bundesbank monetary meeting, and I don't see the market getting bullish until that is over with. Meanwhile, the trend is down. Summer doldrums. Last day with a significant number of earnings reports was Thurs., Aug 7th. Coincidence? Maybe, but that was another reason I went into cash on the 8th. DK
