Joan - Re :" Do you know what the bus technology is in the Mendocino?" It should be the Slot 1 and Slot 2 (Deschutes will go in both, so I assume Mendocino will also.) In other words, Mendocino will have the DIB - Dual Independent Bus architecture - separating the L2 cache bus from the system bus. And the buses are capable of initiating several transactions sequentially and completing these transactions in any order. Paul
