Hi Paul,
If "gap-control" means covering the 2-gap, I think Adams is better in the 1-gap-shoot-that-gap defense. Erickson had him doing the latter and Holmgren's interim coach the former.

Last year's 'hawks were all playing out of position on defense.

Well, here's why I'm here. There's big news in Seattle. The rumor is that Watters is going to be cut to free up 2.5 million under the cap. That means they can bring in whatever free agent help they can get at MLB.

That Ike Charlton was a great pick in the 2nd round. He's going to shore up the other side and make Willie Williams into the 3rd or 4th CB. That depends upon whether Vinson (sp?) from GB can heal his foot.

The Seattle-Green Bay relationship has been very active since Holmgren left Green Bay. They made that trade the other day - one player with a fumbling problem for another player with a sore foot.

Derrick Mayes for a 7th-rounder worked out well so if this Vinson guy pans out, they're going to have 3 starting CBs- Springs, Charlton, and Vinson.

They brought in hard-hitting Reggie Tongue from KC to shore up the safety. This Bell from Arizona is going to be interesting at MLB. The Ivy league dude, Isaiah something... he's got the size so might be useful in blitz situations, maybe he's got a 4.9 40 but the quickest first two steps...

Checking out for now...
Andy
