No American aid for the people of South Ossetia who were attacked by the larger, much larger, Georgia? Ironic that it is Gori, the birthplace of Georgian Stalin who slaughtered so many Russians when he ruled it. The world turns oddly at times. South Ossetia is not part of historical Georgia. Why don't they just let it go where it wishes rather than attack it to try and force it under their control then cry when Russia steps in? No, Russia should not make this a chance to take back Georgia, and I think they know better than to try to do so... but this is about Georgia and South Ossetia, and the people of S.O. having the democratic right of self-determination. They are, afterall, the ones orginally attacked by a larger and much better armed people. Because Georgia is a 'friend' of the west, doesn't mean if they attack and try to take over what has been for well over a decade a separate 'country' we should say 'go for it and to heck with S.O and its people'. It is S.O. citizens who have been killed and had to flee because of Geogian aggresion. Maybe it is in the Stalinistic Georgian blood to try and annex its smaller neighbors?

I don't think much of JFK as a President overall but he had his moments. The Cuban missle crisis was one. Reckon we will see if this new moment in time has people who can handle it.
