Maybe the woman whose house got bombed doesn't know about the guys on the rook using it for an anti-aircraft base. Maybe she does. At any rate, there will be tales like that coming out of any urban warfare site. The population of Fallujah never did love us, and they are certainly not going to love us now. But there is no choice. Backing off only sends the message that we are wusses with no stomach for a fight, and that will incite more Fallujahs. (And yes, I know that fighting will incite revenge attacks too). The best thing we can do is win as decisively and as fast as possible, to send the message that going up against the Marines is a losing proposition.
