Andy,
The defense is awesome, or at least was awesome last year. Everyday the Ray Lewis thing looks worse for him. Everyone is saying that he did not have a knife. But he did throw a punch and was involved and that is apparently enough in Georgia to land one in jail. The DA found a near-X or X rated film prominently showing Ray and one of the other accused guys. Trouble is, Ray told Atlanta PD that the guy wasnt a friend but rather a hanger-on. Lying to the PD wont play well with the jury.

I'm a bit concerned about losing DeRon Jenkins, starting CB. We had 3 top-notch CBs, now we have 2. That makes a big difference in the pass-happy NFL. I like the pickup of Adams for DT. I think the rest of the D remains sharp.

The offense is what will make or break us.

Offense Pros
1) For first time since high school, Tony Banks is in the same offensive system for the second consecutive year.
2) Sharpe signing. <G> Plus Ryan Collins is ok as backup, pass catching TE.
3) Resigned Quadry Ismail, solid WR and favorite of Banks.
4) Nice draft with Lewis and Taylor. Reports from minicamp are that Taylor looks smooth and strong - a real pro talent.

Offense Cons
1) If starting 5 OL remain healthy then we might be ok. RG is a ?. Need a signing here.
2) Can the rookies contribute this year? Esp in first 8 games, which 5 are on the road and against tough competition.

It will be interesting... I'll remain hopeful and really want to watch a home playoff game - it will make my year.

I love the Raven themes displayed on the giant screens in our stadium - esp during pre-game. They get the crowd in a frenzy with a slick video clip flashing images of the Ravens, ravens, lines from "The Raven", and appropriate high-energy music.

What's happening with stadiums in Seattle -- didnt the Kingdome get blasted recently?

Paul
