some said in interviews before this letter was released that the attorney general office raised the wall. They showed an example of a field memo and reply from washington.

Kerrey this morning on imus said it was the worst shot of all of the folks being interviewed. They were loaded for bear for weeks to get Ascroft. I call it an excellent offensive , defensive move. Most people are not paying attention to the meetings as most think it is all political.
