<<The irony of all this is that it seems wacky for Palm to trade at $60bb in market cap but I have left my rational thoughts behind in this market. In current conditions it will be simple: Palm is the leading PDA vendor and potentially on the verge of becoming a defacto OS for new internet devices. It deserves to be a $100 stock. Making any more complicated than that in today's market is simply not worth it.>>

Bobo: Thanks for passing along the perspective from the Goldman friend; I tend to agree with him. Re:Irony, rational thought and complicating the selection process; I just completed a portfolio review of my tech holdings. Coms is one of only two or three with a reasonable P/E; the rest range all the way up to >4,000 times trailing earnings and even no earnings. And I wouldn't sell a single one of them today (maybe tomorrow <g>). Were I to hold only on valuations I'd be left with two or three companies that have underperformed relative to the rest. And, I'm certain the day of reckoning will come. But, in the meantime, as you put well, << Making it any more complicated than that in today's market is simply not worth it.>> Does not lend to a restful sleep for a LT value investor but I'll ride the wave today and Palm should be hangin' ten at IPO.

Best.
