The Obama plan I would call 'almost universal' health care. And frankly I think it is way short of the mark as far as whats needed to reign in cost. In fact you shouldn't notice much of a change at all... we'll still be double the cost of other developed countries and yours will still be 'free' from your employer.

And that's just one example of how I may cope with a society that feels the need to tax its way out of recession. Come to think of it, I should also start looking for more tax shelters ...

I guess you choose to ignore Obama's tax cut and just focus on the tax increase.

As far as 'taxing your way out of a recession', we'll see. 'Borrowing your way out of a recession', as Bush tried, just put off and intensified the problem. If he had just left things as they were we probably would be all right by now.
