Re -- Java won't become junk anymore than C or C++ will become junk.

There is a lot of confusion between the Java language, and the Java environment (JDBC,JFC etc..). Do you know how big Java is right now in terms of physical space?

This debate on Java will go on for a while, and eventually it will take on some form which suits all the players. To think that Java will take over the world or displace MSFT is naive at best.
